01 · Vegetation clearance

Vegetation clearance

Each conductor is fitted as a 3D catenary and checked against the vegetation around it. On the corridor capture, 14 conductors were fitted, 12 phase and 2 shield, with a fit RMS of 0.058 to 0.090 m, and 1 support structure was located.

Clearance is screening, not survey. The resolution is about 0.5 to 0.7 m, so each conductor is reported as a measured value or as a bound, such as under 0.7 m. The threshold that flags a conductor is your setting.

The classified view separates ground, low vegetation, high vegetation, building, road, hardscape, pole, vehicle, water, conductor and unclassified, so what stands in the corridor is on record.

The layer switches on and off in the same viewer as the photoreal scene, so a reviewer can check any class against the imagery it came from.

Fly before the season and again after the event. You receive both photoreal models side by side, for visual comparison in the browser.

The record is the pair of scenes themselves, shared by link with the people who need to see them.

What the screening is, and is not.

  • Screening, not survey: the resolution is about 0.5 to 0.7 m, and a bound is reported wherever the model cannot resolve finer.
  • Demonstrated on one corridor capture of about 140 m so far.
  • The clearance threshold is yours to set. The report flags conductors against it and does not make the decision for you.
